This looks like a pretty good prank, plus gives them plenty of afternoon snacks for awhile. Hopefully no one burned any while making it, one of the worst smells in the office. Here's what John had to say:

Keri had left for a week and I suggested we fill her cubicle full of
popcorn. We blew up a bunch of trash bags with air and threw it in her
cubicle, then also put some boxes in there to help create the illusion of
her cubicle full of popcorn, not to mention the work put in with plastic
wrap. Unfortunately or maybe it is fortunately, we never had access to styrofoam peanuts. Plus we were always too cheap to buy any supplies, the thrill of doing it on the cheap. :)

Here's what Charles sent me, good job on this one, looks great!

My supervisor had gone to California for a couple of weeks and the Friday before he returned we were bored and decided to play a prank on him. We drove down to a local packing supply store and purchased 3 big bags of peanuts. Then we built a box into his window and filled the peanuts between the box and the window. The effect on the outside was so convincing he almost fell into his office. He came in early on Monday and after seeing the peanuts he figured he'd just have to push his door in really hard to open in. He was really surprised when the door opened without any trouble.

p.s. We prototyped the cube of the future by building it entirely out of water bottles and rubber bands. Thankfully David left us his cube to use for three weeks while he visited France.

The beauty of this prank, which was also known as Project Ashley, was we started collecting bottles weeks before David even left under the guise that Mark's daughter, Ashley, needed them for a camp project.
